Millsap Farms Walk: Produce Food Safety
Sat. October 29th from 1:00 - 3:00 PM CST
(6593 N Emu Lane, Springfield, MO 65803)

Practicing effective methods for produce safety begins in the field, greenhouse or high tunnel, and continues through harvest, packing, and transporting to market. Human hands touch produce at every step of the way and these hands, while necessary, carry produce food safety risks. This farm walk will highlight important produce safety considerations to keep in mind along the way.

No registration is necessary for this in person event, however selecting 'Going' on the Facebook event is helpful for planning purposes. Please be sure to bring a water bottle, comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, and bug repellent if you desire.

Thank you to the Missouri Farmers Union for funding this workshop!
